Pre- Project Strategic and Business Planning

FINN-AQUA Consulting will work closely with you as a client to define your objectives in developing an aquaculture enterprise. Typically we will start with paper studies that enable us assist you in defining your goals.

We will assist you in:

	Analyzing the potential species available for culture.
	Determining the level of technology that is available to farm these species.
	Identifying potential sites where these species can be grown.

Production Planning

This information is used to develop a production plan & based on market demand.

Bio-Economic Modeling and Facility Dimensioning

Using the information from the production plan we will develop a bio-economic model used to:

	Dimension the facility accordingly.
	Create a first order capital costing of the facility.
	Prepare pro forma cash flows and operating costs.

FINN-AQUA Consulting acts as an interface between you and a design team to prepare a facility design.

We will supply the designers with biological, physical and regulatory information to enable them to complete their tasks in the most efficient manner. Our role is integral to the design process, ensuring that the optimum biological and physical conditions for the species selected are met. Our role continues through the construction, commissioning and training phases.

Hatchery Design

Working with the client we will assure that the hatchery design meets both the needs of the species selected as well as the client’s requirements from a capital cost perspective.

Construction

We will interface with your engineers to ensure that our systems are correctly installed throughout the construction phase.

Commissioning

On completion of the hatchery’s construction we will physically be present to assist with the delicate transition from construction to production.

Site Selection

We will work with you to assist in selecting the optimum geographical location for the aquaculture development. We will analyze the quality of potential water sources and recommend the type of water intake and level of treatment required to obtain the highest quality pathogen-free water source for the hatchery or farm.
